Introduction

The Canadian Editorial Guidelines for clinical imaging procedures align with those SNOMED International’s Editorial Guidelines Clinical Imaging Procedure Naming Conventions. Pages containing Canadian specific decisions and guidance such as Imaging guided procedures, X-ray imaging and Terms/words decision will be removed in September, 2022.

General Considerations

The Canadian Editorial Guidelines apply to requests for new concepts and descriptions, and requests for modification for SNOMED CT. Where Canadian requirements are the same as SNOMED International, the baseline reference is SNOMED International SNOMED CT Editorial Guide.
