The SNOMED CT French Canadian content has been in active development since 2007. It contains descriptions (mainly preferred synonyms) that have been added to international concepts or to Canadian concepts approved for pan-Canadian use and supports Canadian-specific clinical use cases and business requirements. Since March 2020 the French Canadian Edition includes all translated terms from the SNOMED CT Common French Translation Extension, with translation done by Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Canada, and PHAST(France).
