Content requests must adhere to the following basic principles The requested content must comply with some rules in order to be added in the terminologyconsidered for inclusion

  1. Unambiguous:  within the same hierarchy,   the concept must represent a clinical idea without ambiguity . The within the appropriate hierarchy.   3. Acceptable: the content must represent be represented by terms that are used in the health care environment.
  4. Reproducible: the content follows a similar pattern for similar terms. This allows consistency.is consistent with established patterns of representation.
  5. Useful: the content must support interoperability and be used by useful to more than one user/organisation.National or international scope: In order to be a candidate, the content requested must have a national and/or international scope..
  6. Scope: all content should be accompanied by reference material that supports the use case. If the content may be used internationally, an international reference should be provided. Where internationally applicable reference material does not exist, an international use case cannot be established and national-level reference material should be provided. If the content may only be used nationally, a national reference should be provided.
