About the PrescribeIT Subsets
The pan-Canadian PrescribeIT subsets provide a standardized way for systems to capture, store, retrieve and transmit related health information.
Implementation of the e-Prescribing subsets will allow the community based prescribers (such as physicians and nurse practitioners), either through their existing electronic medical records (EMR) or standalone applications, to enable the electronic transmission of prescriptions to community retail pharmacies.

ICD-10-CA
The Indication for Use subset uses the ICD-10-CA code system which must be appropriately licensed from CIHI before implementation and use. More information about Licensing can be found on the InfoCentral Terms of Use page.
Pre-Adopting Codes
Pre-adoption is defined as implementing a new code before it is official released in the next version of the reference terminology.
