General Note
The ImmunizationPractitionerOccupationCode subset was developed based on stakeholder input and existing Public Health standards for the required data that need to be captured from the Public Health care providers. The process included review of the definition of health professionals included in the Canadian Immunization Guide and PHAC guidance documents, identification of equivalent SNOMED CT CA concepts and review and final approval by the Public Health Surveillance Community.
Scope Definition
Occupations that are used to capture healthcare practitioners that administer immunizations. The subset has been curated specifically to capture only relevant healthcare practitioner occupations.
