Projectathons are an important step and best-practice approach in testing and validation of a specification package, where implementers demonstrate live interoperability of solutions in conformance with pan-Canadian specifications. Test scenarios are managed using the Canadian version of the Gazelle interoperability testing platform. Projectathon 2025 will be dedicated to supporting Patient Summary implementation projects across Canada and is focused on testing the harmonized national and provincial interoperability Patient Summaries specifications (i.e., PS-CA, PS-ON, PS-AB). Testing will focus on the secure exchange, document format and content validation of FHIR patient summary documentsfocus on the Specifications listed in the Scope page. |

Infoway, in collaboration with provinces and territories, invites vendors to participate in Projectathon 2025. All jurisdictions have contributed to the design and review of the pan-Canadian Patient Summary specification, with Alberta and Ontario leading implementation efforts. As a result of this close collaboration, the national and provincial Patient Summary specifications are harmonized and ready for validation. Other jurisdictions will leverage the learnings from the early implementation efforts of Alberta and Ontario. - PTs that are implementing pan-Canadian Roadmap specifications should send technical teams with sandbox environments to test solutions alongside vendors.

- Vendors will have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement of the Projectathon conformance process and tooling, as well as the specifications being tested.

No, the PS-AB and PS-ON specifications are very closely aligned to the PS-CA and should be supported by minimal configuration of capability in the vendor systems. The test package will include test cases, test data and clinical scenarios to support validation of the PS-CA, PS-AB and PS-ON. The test cases will highlight where configuration is needed and test that it is applied properly. |
