- Submit RFC using InfoRMS, include supporting information
- Infoway reviews RFC and supporting information
- IsIs Is there a code available in Core or Canadian extensionEdition?
- If YES
- Infoway rejects the RFC as duplicate and provides information on existing code in InfoRMS
- End Process
- If NO
- Continue
- If YES
- Does the implementation date allow for direct submission to SNOMED International without authoring in the Canadian Edition?
- If YES
- Go to Step 5
- If NO
- Go to Step 6
- If YES
- Is Are there sufficient details to proceed? Is the request valid from the domain perspective and does the it meet International acceptance criteria?
- If YES
- IHTSDO will publish in future release of Core
- It will be submitted to SNOMED International for publication in the International Edition

- If YES
- Is Does the request considered pan- Canadianmeet criteria for inclusion in the Canadian Edition?
- If YES
- Content with be authored for publication in the Canadian ExtensionEdition
