The pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD) standard is published as an Excel file that contains ten tabs. The four tabs that were edited in this release include Infoway Terms of Use, LOINC® Copyright, Nomenclature and the Change Log. This release contains the June 2017 update (2.61) from the Regenstrief Institute Inc. and any interim changes from the previously published release, which are described below.

 

 

Immunization RefSets Specific Release Notes

Scope

    1. Included in this release:

                                 i.    Request to add, change or inactivate  content in both English and French received from Canadian implementers from September 2016 to March 2017.

                                ii.    Corrections to content (typographical errors, metadata, others)

                               iii.    Authoring of all French descriptions

Publication

    1. Human readable version

The human readable individual Immunization subsets are loaded to the Terminology Gateway. This allows Canadian stakeholders to navigate the updated subsets, get a delta (change logs) from the previous version and export the subset content in different format.

  1. Release format 2 (RF2) version

The machine readable subsets are included in the RF2 CA Extension release files. For more information on the CA Extension please refer to the SNOMED CT® English and French Canadian Edition and Extensions Release Notes, Version: 20170430.

Canadian Editorial Guidelines

Infoway has developed generic and immunization specific editorial guidelines. These editorial guidelines follow the SNOMED International’s editorial guidance as the baseline, but additional specifications are provided to avoid ambiguity and reflect Canadian specific requirements.

Implementers are encouraged to review the Canadian editorial guidelines before submitting a request for a new concept or a change to an existing concept. Refer to section Questions, Concerns, Changes, Corrections, for more information on Requests for Change (RFC).
