Canadian Edition of SNOMED CT
The Canadian Edition of SNOMED CT is a harmonized and integrated version of the English Canadian Extension, the French Canadian Extension and the International version of SNOMED CT.
The SNOMED CT English Canadian Extension has been in active development since 2009. It contains concepts and descriptions that have been approved for pan-Canadian use. The SNOMED CT English Canadian content supports Canadian-specific clinical use cases and business requirements.
The SNOMED CT French Canadian Extension has been in active development since 2007. It contains descriptions (mainly preferred synonyms) that have been added to international concepts or to Canadian concepts approved for pan-Canadian use. The SNOMED CT French Canadian content supports Canadian-specific clinical use cases and business requirements.
