PS-CA Releases

The following table contains a list of the PS-CA Releases. To read the details of a specific release, including release notes, click on the Release Title name to be re-directed to the specific page containing the release details.

General Release Information


The pan-Canadian Patient Summary Implementable Specification (PS-CA) is published to a public space within InfoScribe and is also available as a downloadable document. A link to the online published content and the downloadable documentation will be published with each release. 

Release information for each release is contained in the corresponding PS-CA Release page. Please refer to the PS-CA Releases table above for links to specific release content.

Release Cycle


The release cycle will include a review and feedback process, as presented in the infographic below, with a goal of one major release per fiscal year.

Types of releases will include:

  • Draft: Content published for review and feedback
  • Trial Implementation: Content published for a small-scale implementation. It contains a subset of the broader set of use cases, actors & transactions and content data model, which will be enhanced over the lifecycle of the PS-CA roadmap.
  • Final: Final published version for implementation.

Options for commenting on the PS-CA Specifications:

  • You may download the PS-CA specifications in PDF format from the links above. Using the PDF Comments feature, add your comments directly to the PDF, Save and attach to the email.
  • You may review the PS-CA Specifications online from the links above. Create our own document of questions (e.g., using MS Word) and attach the document to the email.

General comments and questions related to the pan-Canadian Patient Summary Specifications can be submitted in the InfoCentral Patient Summary Working Group Forum.
